Our Story

It was October, 2013 and I had been in Santa Monica, California for about a week when I made the decision that would change my world. After experiencing 12 months of homelessness in the San Francisco Bay Area, I found myself in this place that seemed familiar, yet was foreign. I'll never forget TWO particular days that would shape not only the weeks and months that lie ahead, but my life in ways I couldn't even have imagined. The first was October 13, 2013. I was walking down Main Street in Santa Monica thinking about my life and the last year filled with so much pain and loss. I thought of my worldly possessions confined to a storage container in Sausalito. In that moment I thought to myself, I'm a writer. I can live anywhere. I think I'll stay here in Santa Monica.

In that moment, everything changed. It was as if the heavens smiled upon me, and all of the sudden I was in alignment. The very next day I would meet fellow author, and soul-sister, Elizabeth Gilbert. It was an instant kindredship as we shared our books with one another. The very next day, October 15, 2013 I would meet the man who would change my life, this beautiful soul who walked up to me on the beach and said hello. At a time when I didn't have much, not even a home, this man would shower me with his love, support, and encouragement, and ask nothing in return. He loved me for me, and that meant everything.

In the years that followed, as I embarked on starting over in L.A., learning new skills, and venturing down new creative paths, he was my biggest cheerleader. I put in the work, but having someone stand by me, meant the world to me. Our story began on the beach in Santa Monica, California at Tower 15, so when it came to naming my company, there was no other choice. Back in 2013, Tower 15 to me represented a shining light, a beacon of hope.

In moving forward, I'm hoping Tower 15 Productions can mean the same for others, especially for those who are starting over, dreaming big, and could use that same support and encouragement that I was blessed with all those years ago.
